It was so nice to hear about what books you read in middle grade! Some I didn't read but I remember seeing them in my school's library. Because of Winn Dixie had a huge impact on me as a kid (it was one of the first books I couldn't put down and stayed up late to read, and one I cried over!), I also had an Amelia book about how to draw! Some of my favourite reads were the Madison Finn series, and A Series of Unfortunate events. Thanks for sharing! 📖✨

It's so interesting to see what people read as kids. And it's so different in different countries and times. I read a lot of Ottfired Preußler and Astrid Lindgren as well as Terry Pratchett, early Discworld, among other books I have forgotten the names of.

Meridian's Cat sounds wonderful - I can't wait!

*A Fall of Moondust* by Arthur C Clarke. 7th grade, that is when I decided to go to college for engineering.

As a fan of both the original show and Picolo (the goat) himself. I adore this books. Yeah I’ll admit at parts the writing feels a bit corny. But honestly I just like the new take on these characters, I want to know more and I feel thats a good thing. And after reading book 3 am just in heaven. I love how they write their interactions. I would read a whole other series just about Gar and Raven <3

Considering you’ve read some essentials, I would recommend Batman by Grant Morrison. It kind of has a high barrier to entry and Morrison’s storytelling style can be confusing, but it’s very rewarding and very psychological.

If you enjoy Batman Arkham asylum when you read it another essential book to read is Batman: night cries. It tackles many dark subject matter‘s such as child abuse sa and cycle of abuse

Batman comics confuse me so much!

Currently working on the sixth book in my series ^^ it's set to be out by June and I feel like I don't have enough time ha ha! I hope the kitty is feeling better x

Definitely going to check out Wayne Adventures.

Thank you so much for sharing your current system for achieving your goals! This definitely sounds like something I could try and do for myself too. I like that you have multiple areas to write in and record tasks/goals in. I especially love how simple (but effective!) your daily journal is. Sometimes when I try to commit to just one journal/agenda, I tend to get overwhelmed with it or forget about it entirely! So I like that with multiples you don't give your brain a chance to get bored or overwhelmed with keeping everything in one place. Also, I can so so relate to your "system" of having to wait until the last minute to get tasks/assignments/etc all throughout my school life! And while I got by, and maybe even did well sometimes, it was incredibly stressful. How to ADHD has also helped me out so much, both with diagnosis and with strategies on how to manage things! ☃❄

Thanks for sharing! The more sci-fi/fantasy types of books sound quite interesting for me, maybe I'll have to check them out. I've been reading lots of sci-fi lately but I'm a quite slow reader so I don't think I've even read the number of books you featured in this video! I think my favourite book I read last year was "the pharmacist" which is about a pharmacist living in a nuclear shelter. It's quite dark but I really didn't know what to expect from the story, it was interesting to think about though not particularly an "enjoyable" read!

Wow, those are very ambitious goals! I can see why you are excited! I see what you mean about self-publishing, I also have an idea for a picture book (in the very early planning stages) but I would definitely want to illustrate it myself! The illustration is the part I am most excited about, I think! I also like making illustrations for my novels, and I'd be a bit disappointed if I couldn't have much input into the cover design :) I have been considering submitting one of my works to be professionally published, but it still needs editing so I have plenty of time to think about it! Here are my writing goals for 2024: ✰ Continue editing and uploading my audiobook to UA-cam (my NaNoWriMo novel) ✰ Edit another novel that I wrote before NaNoWriMo... that one might take a while to edit, I feel like I've improved quite a lot from the time I started writing it to now so there's lots of sentence flow I want to modify! ✰ Complete a few chapters of my manga! (not sure if it counts as writing, but I think it is related) ✰ I am also hoping to continue writing short stories or maybe co-write a novel with my partner, but at a slower pace than before since I would like to focus on editing for now.
